The focal points of the museum are historical farming and old trade. The main building houses old tools and household implements. Farming tools (1850-1960) like tractors, combine harvesters and tools for the cultivation of fields are presented in the machine room and the barn. In the yard there is a well from 1797. In addition, tools can be tried out there, e.g. grindstones, millstones and a hand-powered drill which visitors can use to drill holes in a wooden beam. Domestic animals typical of the region can be caressed. All sorts of grain as well as tobacco, mustard and hemp are cultivated. Visitors can marvel at the kitchen garden and the small herb garden designed in the form of a spiral. The 2,4 kms long nature trail with over 362 different species of forest trees and bushes as well as 236 different fruit-tree species leads to e.g. pond biotopes, the rock garden, the fragrance and dyer’s garden.
