Description
Experience the full glamour of puppet theatre at the TheaterFigurenMuseum. Over 1,000 world-class historical artefacts - from Africa, Asia and Europe frolic in five venerable Lübeck merchant houses. Meet curios and old acquaintances, stages and barrel organs, shadow plays. We look forward to families, school classes, puppeteers, theatre experts and aficionados of all ages!
Arrival by Car
You can find the museum right in the middle of the city centre of Lübeck in the vicinity of the famous “Holstentor”.
It is difficult to park in the city centre and we have no parking space available.
There are several parking garages right next door though: e.g. Parkhaus am Klingenber/Marlesgrube or next to the “Holstentor”.

Since the beginning of 2021, the TheaterFigurenMuseum and the puppet theater have merged under the name KOLK 17 Puppet Theater & Museum. The museum is closed while our houses in Kolk are being renovated. The theater continues to play at our alternative venue in the European Hanseatic Museum, An der Untertrave 1, 23552 Lübeck. KOLK 17 is still available for you. Our colleagues in the TheaterFigurenMobil at the St. Petri Kirchhof in Lübeck are there for you personally and will be happy to answer your questions.
