The Marxen fire brigade museum presents a comprehensive collection on the history of firefighting with an emphasis on the local fire brigade. Genuine exhibits from a leather bucket to a fire engine of the 1960s illustrate the development of firefighting methods. Different events like, for instance, the meeting of historical two-wheeled vehicles or the day of historical fire extinguishing methods are taking place in the course of the year. At the latter event visitors can slip into the role of a fireman.
